Our Commitment to Religious Organizations
Thanks for visiting our Religious & Nonprofit Web site. While it is a smattering of the thousands of ways we touch religious entities and nonprofit organizations each and every day, it is our sincere way of indicating both the breadth and depth of our expertise, commitment and focus we bring to this sector, which we have been serving more than 40 years. We balance this with a wealth of internal portal resources shared by all the professionals in our company that are part of our "niche."
Since 1927, Gallagher has been serving the needs of churches as insurance broker, agent, loss control specialist and claims advocate. We help churches with risk management challenges, gaps in coverage, consultative benefit plan analysis and 403(b) audits by forging innovative, collaborative programs. Our consultative approach is our hallmark and a valued resource for church finance councils and boards.
For more than fifty years we have worked closely with the Roman Catholic faith traditions (dioceses, religious orders) and have expanded over that time to working with more than 30 different faith-traditions – some regional and others national in scope. In the past two years we have launched an exciting national evangelical organization program. We are also a catalyst for dialogue among these faith traditions in terms of their shared common experiences. This is manifest in our helping organize “Common Ground," now entering its 10th year.
We also are a premiere advisor for international and domestic mission services through Gallagher Charitable International Insurance Services. Of the more than 10,000 employees we have globally, more than 20 percent of our work force touch the serving of our religious and nonprofit clients, many living in your community or region.
Please contact us at 888.285.5106, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm CT, for more information and let us put you in contact with a leading, dedicated, proven service provider in the religious sector – Arthur J. Gallagher & Co./Religious Practice.

Meet Our Power Brokers!
Joan Dove, Mark Russ and Peter Persuitti, were named 2011 Nonprofit Segment Power Brokers by Risk & Insurance magazine.
“We can of course add many, many more names to that list, too. The likes of Ferrara's colleague at AJG, Phil Norton, the Ph.D. in statistics; Peter Persuitti for nonprofits and religious organizations; John McLaughlin or John Watson for higher education; and Dorothy Gjerdrum for public entities.”
A few brokers have value beyond production or insurance placement. These are the thought leaders, the big brains, the encyclopedias of industry or product line knowledge that other brokers turn to in a pinch.
